Arturia MiniFreak synthesizer

An unusual synthesizer machine too, the form-factor is not commonplace, and perhaps that's where the magic lies. In concept, this is the MicroFreak, but with a traditional keyboard instead of the MicroFreak's membrane.

The polyphony is six, with two oscillators per voice, but these oscillators can also be used twelve-voice paraphonically. The oscillators themselves are digital, but the filters are analog. Extensive sound-shaping, with support for FM, ring modulation, an effects section and more. The arpeggiator is also a nice touch, with ratchet, octave randomizer and more. This really is a machine with two faces: you can make very nice conventional sounds, and you can create the most experimental soundscapes with it.

Included is MiniFreak V, the exact same synthesizer discussed, but as a plug-in. Extra nice: you can use the hardware MiniFreak as a controller for that software, and that is the integration you want! Thanks to its conventional keyboard, the MicroFreak has everything it needs to become a winner again!
